We have selected the schools that participate in the project and arrival of micro:bits

February 15, 2023

In mid-December 2022, we announced a call for elementary schools to express their interest in participating in the “Digital Literacy Revolution” project.

We have processed all applications, and here you can see the list of all schools in the project. Below is also a map of all participating schools.

Interest in participation could be expressed by all primary and regional schools that provide primary education.

For all participating institutions, we will provide a donation of micro:bits that they can use in their teaching and extracurricular activities.

Additionally, for the involved teachers, computer science teachers, and librarians, we will organize training sessions to better utilize the donated equipment in their work with students.

At the beginning of this week, a shipment of 15,000 micro:bits procured through the project arrived in Croatia.

We will soon begin the process of packing and sending the equipment to schools, and we will announce more information about this process and the planned training soon.

“The Digital Literacy Revolution” is a project of the Rotary Club Zagreb Centar in partnership with the Institute for Youth Development and Innovation – IRIM and the Ministry of Science and Education, with the support of The Rotary Foundation, Rotary District 1913, and 35 Rotary clubs and districts from Croatia and abroad (USA, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil, and the Netherlands). The project is valued at nearly 390,000 USD and is supported and sponsored by leading Croatian ICT companies.
