Fourth education cycle successfully completed: project-based learning with micro:bit

29.11.2024.

We are proud to announce the successful completion of the fourth education cycle within the Digital Literacy Revolution project.

Over the past weeks, more than 300 schools participated in workshops that provided teachers, librarians, and computer science educators with new knowledge on integrating micro:bit devices into project-based learning.

What we achieved?

The workshops focused on utilizing advanced micro:bit functionalities, including radio communication, accelerometers, and additional modules like crocodile clips.

Participants engaged in hands-on projects, such as creating musical instruments and soil moisture sensors, equipping them with tools to develop innovative teaching approaches that encourage students to explore real-world problems.

Thanks to school and workshop hosts

This collaborative model proved extremely successful, ensuring logistical support and knowledge exchange among participants.

The workshops were organized in 100 host schools across Croatia, enabling all schools involved in the project to participate. See the photo gallery from the workshops:

Whats’s next?

Participants now have access to additional educational resources on the Izradi! platform, where they can continue exploring the potential applications of micro:bit in teaching. Additionally, the platform’s forum hosts a dedicated thread for sharing experiences and ideas.

We would like to thank all the schools, teachers, and partners for their dedication and enthusiasm. We look forward to new projects and the continued development of digital literacy in Croatia!
